Happy to report, no ticks made it home with me (that I know of). 

Yes, a bench! A welcome sight after a 1,100ft climb in the first mile. 
Annnd . . .  this is when I realized I was not where I was supposed to be. 

Bench view - whatever the cause, it was put out in a jiffy. 

Now I'm headed in the right direction.
