Hikers: Cathy, Laura, Noreen
Distance: 7 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,440 ft.

Beautiful hike, even for being on fire roads for most of it~

This is a hike you will not want to do in the summer - the majority of the trails are exposed to full sun.

Hello there!

Gossip Rock

What a beauty!

Flew off into the tree - waiting for us to leave.

Sorry dude - lunch time!

He/she decided not to wait.

Bye - thanks for the company!

So pretty! Didn't go this way though.

Skinny little bridges.

Huge nest.

Huge poison oak leaves!

Huge rock! Are we in Texas? Everything is huge out here - trails, snakes, birds, nests, leaves..

  1. I have hike envy so it makes me feel better that you have garden envy:) My daughter in law and I have been hiking but its strictly urban....complete with alcoholic refreshments at the end. Yes, we hike to different bars. So far our longest has been just over 10 miles:) We are dedicated:)

  2. I like the sound of your urban hikes, Guyla!! Ten miles is a lot in my book, especially if it is in town, and not on dirt trails! I'd be dedicated too, if it meant a tasty libation in the end. :) Wish we lived near each other!!
