Our planned loop turned into an out and back hike, for the seasonal bridge had already been taken down. The bridges are down from October to late April approximately.
Looking back..
It was mosquito hell...
That is one huge banana slug!
The trail to our loop ended here. Now - if goat was with us, she would have waded on through (as we should have) - and yes, we would have followed.
Nasty little creature - just look at the proboscis (elongated sucking mouth-part ) on this guy!
