Hikers: Cathy, Laura
Distance: 5.8 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,178 ft.

View from Grizzly Peak Blvd.

A beautiful start.

Mount Diablo shrouded in fog.

This portion of trail was steep and loose - it was a "butt-er"..

Looks like a face..

Another portion that was a "butt-er." And if Laura is on her butt, it must be really bad...

Gopher snake?
I walked right by this critter - did not even see him. Laura, aka Eagle Eye, was fortunate to see him and snap his picture. :)

A couple more labyrinths.

Noooooo! The beginning of new homes in the middle of open space. So sad.

Yay! A bench! Unfortunately not ready for us to have our egg break. And the view... those soon to be new homes - yay...

You can just see The City, and the new Bay Bridge through the fog.

Came across yet another labyrinth - this one heart shaped.

The trail we were on dead-ended. To your right, this round-about with a beautiful view of Mt. Diablo..

..to your left, another round-about.
