Before you reach the actual trail head, you walk down this "corridor" that separates the two reservoirs.

Remnants from the state hospital?
The Native Garden was built on an old dump site of the hospital - (source).
It was so windy on the dam, even the sun's rays were bent at an angle! (I was trying to capture Laura's ponytail standing straight out.)
Our lunch spot! Logs to sit on, and even water in the stream. :)
Garbage or a trap of some sort?
Now the hard part starts - Thatcher Rim Rock Trail.
