miwok trail to point bonita re-visted: a botanical delight

March 4, 2012
Marin, CA
Hikers: Cathy, Laura, Noreen
Distance: 9.05 miles

We made it back to one of our favorite spots and this time we had the most beautiful weather, sunny and 70 degrees; it was perfect beach weather where we stopped to have a snack.

Laura Loves Lichen!

Noreen trying out her new poles!

A hawk. We were not camera ready
when one flew directly above us so
close you could see all is beautiful
markings.

I am hawk...

Could this be the future home of Hagin's Automotive?

Our friend.

This crow was so cool. He would fly backward,
a little forward, then just hover a short distance
away from us; almost mechanical like.
Doesn't look like the most beautiful place to have
lunch, but ohhh the view!
Sutro Tower in the background.

Not sure what this is.

Newts!

Surfers enjoying the awesome weather.

We found a couple of teeter-totters on the beach!

Seal island.

Did not notice this on our last trip. This was under
the porch of the house that sat above.
