Wildcat Canyon Regional Park

February 1, 2015
Richmond, CA
Hikers: Cathy, Laura, Noreen
Distance: 7.40 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,379 ft.

This hike surpassed our expectations. If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know that we prefer forested single track trails, to those in the wide open or fire roads.

A beautiful day.

 Mt. Tamalpais

A bunny! We saw a couple of bunnies today. :)

Obviously this tree outgrew its cement barrier.

New sign to us, guessing it means a loop.

A slippery slope - if Goat is holding on, it must be tricky.

 Wild strawberry.

 Mt. Diablo

An old Nike Missile site. The views from there are incredible - our pics do not do the views justice.

 Mt. Tam.

 The Golden Gate Bridge.

 Sutro Tower.

 San Pablo Reservoir

 A yogi on the wall.

One steep ass hill to go down (San Pablo Ridge Trail).

Looking back at that steep ass hill.

Trails:

Wildcat Creek Trail, Havey Canyon Trail, Unnamed single track up to the Nike Missile site, Nimitz Way, San Pablo Ridge Trail, Unnamed trail next to fence, Belgum Trail, Wildcat Creek Trail.
