Redwoods in Oakland?! You bet!
Here was a small area just off the
trail with signs "help build a trail"
(or path). They encourage you to
add what you find on the trail path;
not to go off trail.
Ever wonder: Is anyone ever around
when trees in the forest fall?
While we were stopped to take a
picture we heard the creaking sound,
looked up, then saw a large branch
come falling to the ground!
This fungi was growing straight up.
